Well... I auditioned. It was a very strict, rigorous job interview. You wish you could buy my painting. I am thinking of a number, and whatever you are thinking, imagine something infinitely larger.
Four rooms is going to be a great success. The producers of the show are a no bull shit personality. It is not like Pawnathon. It is more like Dragons' Den. They have got 4 of the wealthiest buyers of art and collectibles in the country. Millionaires who are going to compete to get your goods. The producers say you have to have the rarest stuff. Things that start at 20k in value.
I would love to go to at least the second room, to see what is around the corner. They want ruthless negotiators. Someone who will take risks and broker a big deal.
I asked if the buyers have enough money to buy a work, that is 5 hundred thousand. I was told, Don't worry about that now. The show airs in January. I am thinking, of stuff like J.F.K.'s golf clubs. Sometimes things do better at auctions. The property I am selling, maybe not so.
The buyers might only offer a dollar, if they don't like you work. They will be competing against each other. I wonder, they only see the merchandise the day of filming when they are presented by the shows applicants. It is like the Dragons' Den, who have no prior knowledge, of the pitchers' before filming.
This is where I am going to get lucky.
