The truth is that art costs all of us. From the desperate victim in the street, pulling a shopping cart and sleeping in a field, to the outdrawn, and the exhausted. I am writing this as an existential warning. The artist is not a lifestyle, or a job. The artist is a deal between work and struggle. Still, that is not why men and women create art. They create art because if they didn't they all would be losers.
There is a security in art. Art can kill, and Art can cure, and that is obvious. The tragedy is what we learn from failure. I admire artists that were the great swans of the 20th century. Some people learn late in life. We are all sojourners of the human race. We need to do our work, on the planet ,for the planet. I have always said even if I never become famous it will not stop me from doing my work. Art is not just for artists. Art is for human kind,
